How To Host A Pool Party

– How To Host-
THE BEST POOL PARTY

Pool parties are the ultimate way to socialize while cooling off on those hot summer days.

Here are a few tips to help you make a splash at end of summer pool party.

Ready to have some fun?

– Bathing –
Suits

Remind guests to bring along their bathing suits, and towels, if you won’t have
enough.

– Plan –
The Menu

Plan a menu and purchase the food and beverages. Keep the food light – salads,
fruits, veggies and dip – since your guests will be swimming. Avoid alcohol for
swimmers: serve sodas, teas, and juices instead

– Changing –
Room

Provide a room for people to change into or out of bathing suits, if they need to.
Have some extra sunscreen on hand and tell people to use it.

– Clean –
The Pool

Even a few stray leaves or sediment on the bottom of the pool, can leave a bad impression.  Break out the vacuum or pool robot a few hours before the main event.

– Patio –
Chairs & Tables

Set up a number of patio chairs and tables around the pool area for your guests. Set up two additional large tables, one for snacks, the other for beverages.

– Cooler with –
Water

The little ones can dehydrate easily even though they’re in a pool.  Keeping a cooler with some ice and water bottles handy keeps everyone hydrated and having fun.

– Break Out Some –
Tunes

Set up a stereo and speaker system near the pool for some background music. It’ll help you set the mood for the party.

– Area –
Lighting

As the evening wears on, light the pool area with candles in lanterns, Christmas lights strung from tree limbs or floating candles in the pool(provided no one is swimming). Use citronella candles to deter insects.

– Clean –
The Pool

Even a few tray leaves or sediment on the bottom of the pool, can leave a bad impression.  Break out the vacuum or pool robot a few hours before the main event.
