Tobin became an honorary member of the Swim World family On November 13, 2008 and later became the Toy Specialist.
He attends Bethpage Elementary School and wants to be a professional baseball and basketball player when he grows up. He enjoys stocking the shelves, carrying pool supplies end chemicals out for customers, and closing up the store at the end of the day. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, coloring, and riding his bike.
Fun fact: Tobin has business cards, vacuum pole, leaf net, and vacuum hose before he was even born!
Tyson holds the title as the youngest member of the Swim World family. He was “hired” as the Assistant Toy Specialist on March 22, 2014. He enjoys removing the items from the shelves that his brother stacks, running around the store, and taking naps on his dad’s couch. When he’s not hard at work, he loves to play with his toys, try on everyone’s shoes, and eat.Fun fact: Tyson was named by his big brother, Tobin, when he was just 5 years old!
Amanda joined the Swim World family in 2000 as a Retail Associate. She later became the Retail Manager and then Service Manager. Before beginning her career ‘n the swimming pool business, she worked with children as a daycare teacher, after-school teacher, substitute teacher, and then 4th and 5th grade teacher.
She graduated from Westmoreland High School in 1998 and Tennessee State University in 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education.
She s Certified Paol Operator CCPO) from the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) and a Certfied Pool Technician (CPT) from the Aquatic Training Institute (ATI). Amanda enjoys making personal relationships with the customers she comes in contact with and feels as though many of them are family. She married her “boss”, Jay, in 2004 and has two sons, Tobin and Tyson.
She loves reading, traveling, and camping with her family. Fun fact: Ameada spent the night in an underwater laboratory’ in Key Largo, FL. She and Jay were the only people in the world to sleep underwater that night! Diver down!
Jay Tucker – SwimWorld Pools
Jay Tucker has more than 20 years of experience in the swimming pool industry, and has been recognized by his peers with numerous design awards for backyard fun. A long-time resident of Gallatin, Jay graduated from Gallatin High School in 1990, attended Volunteer State Community College, and earned his Master of Science from Middle Tennessee State University in 1996. Jay is a leading advocate of continual learning and considers himself a lifetime student. Under Jay’s leadership, Swim World Pools has been recognized locally and internationally for its work. Offering vision and tenacity, Jay is always looking to raise the bar in any endeavor he pursues. In previous roles, Jay served as assistant to the president of Trinity Broadcasting Network, a Christian television network, headquartered in California. He was “extremely” instrumental in coordinating the ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, five day project for Amy and Jerrod Hawkins, in Hendersonville. He is a Certified Building Professional from the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals and is a member of the Gallatin and Hendersonville Chambers of Commerce.
